Week endind 13.3.2011

Life a little slower on the lakes this past week overnight temperatures have dropped and there has been some sharp frosts the Carp have been on the quiet side and we have had a few challenged carpers down on the lake, knowing the size and quality of the carp at Pavyotts it can be quiet frustrating ! but guys thats fishing for you a days fishing has got to be better than a days work perseverance does pay off eventually. We have recently re stocked our bait shop and now stock a larger range of CC Moores baits to help encourage those big boys into your swim. Nick the Fish managed to entice Soretail who seems to be our greedy carp of the year so far weighing in at 36lb1oz using xxx and pink Northern special, Damien from Frome landed two mirrors at 29lb 2oz and 26lb 6oz using Engage,  Joel Parry from Brighton encouraged Tracey 35lb 4oz onto the bank using B5 Joel had a hard session this time round on peg 5 his favorite peg although showing a good carp even his knowledge of the lake nearly beat him. Tom Lye had 3 carp one mirror at 27lb and two commons up to 16lb 8oz. Joshes lake has been quiet and shown 3 carp Dave Lapham Frome landed Dakas mirror 27lb and Riffdog 27lb 140z beating his PB by 18lb using CC Moore's northern specials and Vic Milverton had a very nice common at 20lb 6oz using live system and northern special pop ups . All in all its been fairly quiet but we are confident that spring is in the air and we will have plenty of good catches very soon.
